Weaver receives YouthPac endorsement

April 3, 2011

This week, Bryan was honored to receive the endorsement of YouthPAC.

“I am extremely honored to have received the endorsement of YouthPAC,” Bryan said on Saturday. “We are facing a crisis of ethics, corruption and have lost the public’s trust in this city — meanwhile we have failed the youth of  D.C. at every level of government–from our schools to our parks to social services.”

“The fortunes of D.C. may well ride on the ability of young D.C. to face the responsibilities that old D.C. has neglected for generations. The revolution of change is always in the hands of the young. This city needs youth activism now more than ever,” Bryan said.

Following a candidates’ forum hosted by YouthPac and D.C. Students Speak, members of the organization voted overwhelmingly to endorse Bryan for the open At-Large seat on the Council of the District of Columbia.

“Bryan Weaver is the young people’s candidate in D.C. When it comes down to a candidate who brings more than passion, but action, to youth issues, Bryan Weaver is second to none,” said Markus Bathelor chairman of YouthPAC. “Over the next few weeks, YouthPAC will be recruiting young people across the city to volunteer in support of Bryan’s campaign and we will put our full force behind the movement to make sure Bryan Weaver is this city’s next At-Large Councilman.”

YouthPAC is a Washington area youth-based political action committee that is open to residents of the District of Columbia and Prince George’s County between the ages of 13 and 30.
